Product Review : Sleek Metallic Eyeshadow Duo in Molten Metal(714)
Hey Pretties,

I discovered this wonderful not-so-new product recently, when i stopped at the Sleek Store at Ipodo Market(for those who live in Ikeja) . Its a Cream Shadow that comes in 2 shades : Pewter & Gold Leaf. Its wet to the touch & applies like a dream. But like most cream products, i advise you set the "shades when using them with matching colored eye-shadows.
The packaging is as the name of the Brand,Sleek & fits easily in my palm. I'm sure it can fit into any purse, wallet or makeup bag easily. It also comes with a mirror, which is what i love about most Sleek products.
5.4g / 0.19oz =N=900(Prices i state are as i bought them. Be prepared to spend a little less or more in Nigeria)
I believe these are the only shades they have in this style, ill keep you posted if i find that there are more options.
PROS
- The Packaging makes it easy to fit into your Purse,Bag or Wallet
- Can be used to highlight the Inner corner of your eyes or to add special effects to an already completed makeup look
- Cleans off easily
CONS
- The Quality is poor (It doesnt spread smoothly and as an eyeshadow,it may require layers to achieve the desired results)
- It is pricey considering that it may need a shadow beneath to enable it last longer where applied
xoxo

2). Black Spikey Louboutin heels - $1,095 net-a-porter.com (Bottom Left)

Product Review : Super Drug Tweezers(Pointed & Slant Tips)
Hey Pretties,
I got these tweezers, when i sent an aunt to help me get some in England. So she got me the Super-drug Slant-Tip & Pointed-Tip Version which i absolutely love. Of all the brow shaping techniques available, i Prefer Tweezing the most because it helps to remove the shortest of brow hairs, giving the brow bone a waxed look & of course giving the brows a Pin-point Tip capable of Pricking, lol :)
| Pointed-Tip & Slant-Tip |
Pros
1). It's affordable
2). It gets the Job Done
3). It's of Good Quality
Cons
1). Needs a little sharpening to be able to grab fine hairs
What i do is hold my skin taut to help lessen the pain & i tug in the direction of hair growth, one hair at a time. Soon, a how to page would be created, so i can show you how i go about tweezing my brows.
That's how i get my picture perfect brows : )

LOTD : Smokey Peach!!
Hey Pretties,
So, it's a fantastic Saturday & this Look came to mind that i wanted to share with you. It was inspired by Sam Fine & the technique of contouring & highlighting was applied.
I decided to give my looks a twist by Giving 2-3 Lip colors to go with every eye work done(i believe that's fair to people who dont have so many colors to pick from like i do :) ).
Pls note that you don't have to own all these products to do a Fab Job on urself. Its always safer to use neutral & earthy shades to achieve beautiful results
FOR THE FACE:
I used Mary Kay's Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation in 600, set with Iman's Luxury Pressed Powders in Medium & Clay Medium , Blush was Black Opal's Raisin in the Last 2 looks & BM Pro's Claret in the 1st Look. I applied highlights in a subtle way using Black Radiance's Mosaic Bronzer in Golden Shimmer
FOR MY BROWS :
I used Eversheen's Eyeliner Pencil in Brown & Brown-Black(Tell no one, :)) & set my brows with SORME's Eyebrow Control Clear Mascara & highlighted my browbone using Black Radiance's Mosaic Bronzer in Golden Shimmer once again.
FOR MY EYES:
I used a bronzey colour from the Revlon Colorstay's 12 Hour Eye shadow in Copper Spice all over my lids & went into my crease with Casabella's Matte Brown Eyeshadow in Mink . My Mascara was Revlon's Beyond Natural Defining Mascara in Black, followed by Loreal's Double Extend Mascara also in Black
Lip Products used:
1). Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Midnight Red
2). Revlon SUPER LUSTROUS Lipgloss in 160
Lip Product used : Tainted Lipstick by Casabella
Lip Products used :

YEMI's TRIAL!
Hey Pretties,
I wanted to share pictures of a bridal trial i recently did. Yemi,is getting married to a friend & so i was chosen to be her makeup artist.
She is on the reserved side & isnt adventurous with colour & such a bride must be understood. So for upcoming makeup artists, it's important you listen to your bride to know her likes & dislikes as well as knowing her dream look. It's a team effort here & all opinions matter(her fiance was even helpful in picking her lipstick color)
She was having her pre-wedding shots taken & so,we used that opportunity to have her bridal trial done. She has thick brows & very dry skin. So it was very important that i got her skin moisturized to allow the foundation glide smoothly as well as have a base to stick to.
I didn't use a primer which sometimes works against your goal & so her brows got tweezed & scuplted & it was surely a nice time at the end of the day.
Being a trial, she was able to point out features she wanted more defined or subtlely worked on
Hopefully, she will look even more beautiful on her big day.
Will upload a few more pictures for your perusal when i get it from her wedding photographer
xoxo

MAKEUP BAG INVESTIGATION(MBI)
Hey Pretties,
most ladies i come across ask me questions on what items are most important in any makeup bag.So the MBI series is geared at keeping all ladies informed on what staples are needed in their kits.
I'll share weekly what to look for in all products from time to time & hope it proves helpful to someone out there.
Your feedback is always welcome, either here or as a mail to this address : sitpretty412@yahoo.com

Product Review : Urban Decay Primer Potion(UDPP) In Sin!
I actually got this primer by mistake. i had ordered this through a friend & was looking to buy the Primer Potion in Eden. My friend ordered this instead & because it's a little bit pricey, i knew i couldn't throw it away.
There are mixed reviews on makeup forums, but i will make this review as personal as possible.
This product comes in a 'Genie-Looking' container, with an applicator. The product in it is a shimmery champagne colour, which needs to be blended,i would say with your fingers. A little product goes a long way, because if not properly blended, it might crease.
I only use this product when i need to have my eyeshadows on for a while, because it's very hard to remove from the skin.
Pros
1). Perfect for Oily lids
2). Perfect for shimmery shadows
3). Glides smoothly
4). A little goes a long way
Cons
1). Poor packaging limits the amount of product you get out of it
2). Very pricey
3). Doesn't work well under Matte shadows
4). Might crease when heavily applied
5). Very difficult to clean off
I hope this review was helpful. If you actually need to use UDPP, i would advise you try it in the original Formula, which you can then use under both Matte & Shimmery Shadows.

HAUL FIESTA : Black opal
You would agree that this is a very small haul, but hey, i bought it & im proud of it,lol. I went to the Popular Kuddy Store in Lagos island (If you reside in Lagos, Kuddy stores are located in Lagos Island, Osolo way in Ajao estate, Trade Fair Complex Ojo & Ikota Shopping Complex Lekki) & stocked on some Black Opal Products.
Why you would ask? Well,im a great fan of Sam Fine's & he doesnt hesitate recommending black opal to anyone who cares to listen. While in school & still familiarising myself with beauty products, i used black opal & because back then ,i didnt understand my skin & its needs, i felt black opal wasnt good enough a brand.
So,i decided to act in faith once more & get a few items. I absolutely love their blushes because they are pigmented enough to be used on the eyes, not so much as an eyeshadow but to contour.
So i purchased a gold eyeshadow, a peach toned blush, stick foundations, loose powders & Mascara(i will do reviews on each of these products later)
So, if you are looking for an affordable brand which was also made with the black skin in mind, pls try Black Opal
xoxo
