We met exactly 2 years ago when she was scouting for a makeup artist. Thanks to referrals, i won her heart from day 1.

One thing that hasn't changed since i met her is the way she loves her nude lippie, no matter the look.

On this particular day, she was headed to her Place of Work's End Of Year Party & the theme was 'Color Blocking'. So i infused the colors she had on on her eyes & applied it in a subtle , keeping the skin flawless & not losing her beauty to the makeup

Bridal Feature : AB Jayne

Hey Pretties,

Trust you've all been doing well. I have too(i know you want to ask,lol) and running after a 7-month baby has been.... *wipes sweat*.


The 'Acceleration' i've seen in my baby has been amazing - She cut her tooth at 4 months without a fever , she sat up early, crawled early and now tries to stand with the support of anything she can find, even if it's anyone's legs. So amazing!!!

Amidst all that excitement, its been work work work all the way, thanks to referrals from past brides, friends and clients. Thank you all once again, SitPretty Is Blessed to know you all.

AB Jayne is one of the Sweetest, Kind-hearted, Most Considerate & Polite brides i've been opportuned to wait on. I met her 4days ago after communicating via the Blackberry (Love to Hate it,dontcha) and despite the fact that we didn't do a trial, since she isn't based here, she had absolute faith in my abilities.

Thanks to My Wonderful Assistants - Mabel, Molly & Tonia, we were able to get the bride, her bridesmaids and family ready in good time for church

You can't imagine how many times she said thank you to me. So let me say here 'Biola, it was a HUGE HONOR. God Bless Your Marriage & Thank you For 'Sitting Pretty'

Blog Feature : Doc Seyi

Hey Pretties,

it's always a makeup artist's dream to have their work captured by talented photographers. It's even much more pleasant when that photographer blogs about their work and gives due credit,thanks a lot Akara

For those of you who haven't heard about Akara Ogheneworo, he's an amazing photographer who travels EVERYWHERE and ensures he captures memories no matter how small the event might be. He's also quite funny, there's never a dull moment when he's in the room

Seyi contacted me middle of last year in view of her wedding in December. She made it clear to me from the get-go that she was going to have both her traditional wedding and church on the same day and that she was going to change 4 times that day ( Go Seyi,the fashionista ). She also didn't want 'any black' in the crease of her eyes, this she emphasized when we had her trial.

Her trial, we agreed Red lips made her look older & no dark crease

Bridal Feature : Bisco

Hey Pretties,

Bisola(better known as Bisco) happens to be an aburo(Younger sister) and when I heard the good news that she was getting married, I was hopeful I would be her makeup artist.

It initially didn't look that way because I was booked for the chosen dates, but when the dates got changed,I was available on one of both days.

If there's anything I was truly glad about, it was the fact that she completely trusted me to do some magic. I can categorically tell you that this is good news for any makeup artist especially if you're like me and hardly do trials(to me,a trial and the actual thing just aren't the same-No Motivation)

With all the Oohs & Aahs from her friends,she was all smiles and that was enough for me :-D

Product Review : Sleek High shine in Champagne & Bare

Hey Pretties,

 i first came across these glosses a few years ago & champagne was the very 1st of the glosses that i got. It was the kind of nude color i liked, it felt good on the lips and smelt fab. Ever since then,i kept repurchasing.

According to Sleek - Just one coat of High Shine drenches your lips with a burst of colour and shine

Bare - is a pale pink colour that looks like strawberry-flavored custard

Champagne - is a pale champagne color with finely-milled shimmer
 

Pros : 
- It's the right amount of shine in just one coat
- It moisturizes the lips and has a longwear even after eating 
- It smells fantastic, if you're all about fragrances like me *wink*

Cons : 
- The wand makes it difficult to get all the product out

 Verdict :
 I'll certainly repurchase

Product Review : MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in 'Sweet Ever After' & 'Goes and Goes'

Hey Pretties,

in my fast growing lipstick collection,these 2 happen to be very dear to my heart. By now,anyone who knows me knows i love lip colors in the plum & purple family. So expect to see one in every lipstick review *hides face*

According to MAC : it has a lightweight texture, creamy finish & comfortable longwear(the real reason i got them). It's slick in use & applies without need of a top coat and lasts up to 12hours. It won't feather or transfer and the color stays true . It helps the lips stay soft and hydrated

GOES AND GOES

 Goes & Goes is a lovely purple with blue undertones, it absolutely is flattering to my skintone.

SWEET EVER AFTER

Sweet Ever After is an ideal nude color with a slight hint of shimmer for anyone who likes to play safe & wants long-lasting wear.

Weight : 3.6g / 0.12 US oz

Pros :
- It's true in color. What you see in the tube is what you see on the lips
- Its creamy texture feels lovely on the lips.not oily & not uncomfortable to wear.
- It hydrates the lips the way chapstick does (i'm referring to the matte-like feel)
- It doesn't transfer,  except you intentionally drag your finger across your lips to take it off.


Cons:
- The shape of the product means you have to apply it with extreme skill if using it straight from the tube.  Better yet, use a lip brush.

Verdict :

I will repurchase these shades and others in the collection.

Bridal Feature : Buks

Hey Pretties,

Trust you've all been splendid?A lot's been going on with me & will let you in on things soon. I was blackmailed to do this post by the Bride in spotlight,Buks. Ha!! You have 'wahalad' me much on this post, Happy now? ;-)

Bukola got married a few weeks back to another dear friend,Sam(who i'm told looks like me) & she made it clear to me months prior that i was gonna be her makeup artist, whether i liked it or not & so i made sure she kept me posted on every development as well as dates picked, so i could keep my diary open. Happy we went about it that way.

Buks doesn't wear much makeup,probably because she doesn't need it / doesn't know how to apply it,lol. But i had every mind of making her a very beautiful & polished version of her pre-madeup self. Her wedding to me had the feel of a Fairytale wedding & so, she needed to look every inch a princess. I hope i did her some justice.

For the Traditional Engagement Ceremony, i wanted her glowing & opposed to what i see people do - Highlights of Matching Red with the bride's Attire(which sometimes seems too much to me), i decided to give her something 'Safer' yet flattering & tie her gele in a similar light.

I must quickly add that she planned every detail of her wedding(she owns a company called WEDDINGS 'UR' WAY) & honestly every aspect was beautiful. All vendors she employed were very much on point & i should say i was impressed.

Fastforward to Saturday, it was time to solemnize the marriage in the presence of God & because she lives on the outskirts of Lagos while church was in Marina, we all had to get her ready 3hrs before Church was to start which meant we were all awake by 4am,Phew!!

December last year was quite an exciting one. One of the tasks i had come my way was a photoshoot for MALLIA HAIR owned by a dear friend Bukky. The Plan was get clients who had at one time or the other bought her products,myself inclusive, to model her new human hair styles.
