Pibona Haul

Hey Pretties,

a few months back, i recieved this package from Princess Ehi Ekhator-Obasogie of Pibona Cosmetics for the purpose of reviewing and incorporating them into my kit, but unfortunately things came up , my hard drive started acting up and i had already started using the products before i noticed.

I got more products than i expected :

Replicate : AB Jayne's Church Look

Hey Pretties,

i honestly can't get over AB Jayne's white wedding look. I knew a slightly nude (nude is relative though, i love me some color) look with a pop of color would have flattered her fair complexion so well and that's what i aimed for.

She also had these very angled brow arches, so i decided to round them off and i must say i loved the outcome.

Products Used :

Brows : MAC brow pencil in SPIKED

Eyes : MAC matte eyeshadows in YOGURT , BROWNSCRIPT , FIG. 1 & CARBON
                Red Cherry lashes in 99

Cheeks : Bm Pro matte eyeshadow (yes!!! Eyeshadow) in pink

Lips : Zaron Lip pencil in PRUNE JUICE
               MAC Amplified Cream Lipstick in VIVA GLAM NICKI 2
               MAC Satin Lipstick in MYTH
               MAC Clear Lipglass

Bridal Feature : AB Jayne

Hey Pretties,

Trust you've all been doing well. I have too(i know you want to ask,lol) and running after a 7-month baby has been.... *wipes sweat*.


The 'Acceleration' i've seen in my baby has been amazing - She cut her tooth at 4 months without a fever , she sat up early, crawled early and now tries to stand with the support of anything she can find, even if it's anyone's legs. So amazing!!!

Amidst all that excitement, its been work work work all the way, thanks to referrals from past brides, friends and clients. Thank you all once again, SitPretty Is Blessed to know you all.

AB Jayne is one of the Sweetest, Kind-hearted, Most Considerate & Polite brides i've been opportuned to wait on. I met her 4days ago after communicating via the Blackberry (Love to Hate it,dontcha) and despite the fact that we didn't do a trial, since she isn't based here, she had absolute faith in my abilities.

Thanks to My Wonderful Assistants - Mabel, Molly & Tonia, we were able to get the bride, her bridesmaids and family ready in good time for church

You can't imagine how many times she said thank you to me. So let me say here 'Biola, it was a HUGE HONOR. God Bless Your Marriage & Thank you For 'Sitting Pretty'

Pibona Product Launch

Hey Pretties,

How I have missed sharing what's been happening with me. rather than beat about the bush,I'll get right to it.

Manyyyyy weeks back,I posted an invite to the launch of this Nigerian-owned makeup line PIBONA which took place on the 19th of January 2013 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki. Friends, well-wishers and beauty lovers were in attendance to sample, shop and socialize at the event.

The company launched its collection of eye shadows in various gorgeous shades, mineral liquid powder foundation, HD mascaras, brow blenders, long-lasting eyeliners, luxury lip-glosses, luxury matte lipsticks, automatic long lasting lip liners and more.

it's always a makeup artist's dream to have their work captured by talented photographers. It's even much more pleasant when that photographer blogs about their work and gives due credit,thanks a lot Akara

For those of you who haven't heard about Akara Ogheneworo, he's an amazing photographer who travels EVERYWHERE and ensures he captures memories no matter how small the event might be. He's also quite funny, there's never a dull moment when he's in the room

Seyi contacted me middle of last year in view of her wedding in December. She made it clear to me from the get-go that she was going to have both her traditional wedding and church on the same day and that she was going to change 4 times that day ( Go Seyi,the fashionista ). She also didn't want 'any black' in the crease of her eyes, this she emphasized when we had her trial.

Her trial, we agreed Red lips made her look older & no dark crease

Bridal Feature : Bisco

Hey Pretties,

Bisola(better known as Bisco) happens to be an aburo(Younger sister) and when I heard the good news that she was getting married, I was hopeful I would be her makeup artist.

It initially didn't look that way because I was booked for the chosen dates, but when the dates got changed,I was available on one of both days.

If there's anything I was truly glad about, it was the fact that she completely trusted me to do some magic. I can categorically tell you that this is good news for any makeup artist especially if you're like me and hardly do trials(to me,a trial and the actual thing just aren't the same-No Motivation)

With all the Oohs & Aahs from her friends,she was all smiles and that was enough for me :-D

What Have I Been Up To?

Hey Pretties,
I still haven't gotten the hang of blogging with my IPad :-( . I tried a couple of times and despite the fact that I'm quite the tech-savvy lady,uploading pictures beats me,but trust me to be on top of things.

In the interim, please bear with me. March was an amazing month for me,I did a couple of amazing brides and clients.So,it was quite eventful and busy.

Product Review : Sleek High shine in Champagne & Bare

Hey Pretties,

 i first came across these glosses a few years ago & champagne was the very 1st of the glosses that i got. It was the kind of nude color i liked, it felt good on the lips and smelt fab. Ever since then,i kept repurchasing.

According to Sleek - Just one coat of High Shine drenches your lips with a burst of colour and shine

Bare - is a pale pink colour that looks like strawberry-flavored custard

Champagne - is a pale champagne color with finely-milled shimmer
 

Pros : 
- It's the right amount of shine in just one coat
- It moisturizes the lips and has a longwear even after eating 
- It smells fantastic, if you're all about fragrances like me *wink*

Cons : 
- The wand makes it difficult to get all the product out

 Verdict :
 I'll certainly repurchase

Triple Threat - Redd Cappuccino PruneJuice

Hey Pretties,

i finally got a few minutes(ermm....actually hours) to put these looks together,considering my boss (baby dieko) always wanted my attention.

I love trying looks out and pairing them with different lip colors, that way, anyone who doesn't like a certain lipcolor has other options,hence......

I settled for Look 1 as my best of the three, paired with lashes of course.

 For look 1,i used :
- Zaron's lip pencil in Prune Juice
- Sleek's High Shine lipgloss in Bare

For look 2, i used :
- Zaron's lip pencil in Cappuccino
- Sleek High Shine lipgloss in Champagne

For look 3,i used :
- Jordana slim lip pencil in Plush Red
- BM Pro longlasting lipgloss in Redd 

For the eyes,i used :
1 - Bobbi Brown matte eyeshadow in Baby Pink
2 - MAC matte shadows in Fig.1 & Carbon
3 - MAC matte shadow in Orange 
4 - Jordana Easy-liner retractible pencil in Black for the upper & lower lashlines

To Lash or not to Lash??

Hey Pretties,

i did this look and concluded that lashes make a huge difference. If you like some Va-va voom(for the risk of sounding cliche). I'm not talking about 'Umbrella' lashes oo. Strip lashes in all their glory are superb for achieving this effect.
