Bridal Feature : IreOluwa

Hey Pretties,

a few months back.i had the pleasure of being Ireoluwa's makeup artist for her big day. Ire,who isn't based here had corresponded with me for many months via blackberry & whatsapp & was very helpful to me when i needed to get a few makeup goodies.

Ireoluwa is a dark-skinned beauty & is someone with a very lovable personality. She's also very respectful (Too much so,if i might add). I have to do something to make people stop calling me Ma (laughs hard)

She had no airs about her & totally, completely & without any fears whatsoever trusted me with her makeup. It happened to be a sad day for me as i had to be at a dear friend's funeral, which i was still in shock about, but she was soo understanding & allowed me leave immediately i was done with her as she still had an outfit change scheduled later that day.

Thanks Ireoluwa for trusting me to hook you up nicely. Learn how i got the look in my next post

The Prestige Makeup Launch hosted by Taries World

Hey Pretties,

A fellow makeup artist who has great passion for the art of makeup recently informed me about this event where she's made me a co-host (scary as I tried to wiggle my way out of the reponsibility to no avail ;-).

Tara Adesemowo, the head makeup artist and owner of Taries World has been given Sole and Exclusive Distributorship rights to represent Prestige Cosmetics in Nigeria.

An astute business woman, Taries(as she is popularly called) renders makeup and beauty services including Nail Artistry, retails various cosmetic brands for both individuals and professionals, and is a bead-maker.

She runs her Beauty School where she offers Bridal and Fashion makeup courses, Bridal hair courses, Nail artistry courses as well as bead-making courses. Haven trained a lot of students, she also offers scholarship opportunities to those who have the passion for makeup artistry but can't afford the courses.

Taries has also sponsored various top international and national Make-Up and beauty shows in the capacity of : Official Makeup Company and Makeup artist for the Nigeria Fashion Week 2012, Nigeria Radio Award 2012, The Proface Makeup Artist Competition 2013 and Miss Nigeria Trade 2013 to mention but a few.

Launched over 30 years ago in the United States, Prestige Cosmetics is currently sold across the globe. With an International Logistics Support team, the brand has gained distribution and developed significant brand recognition in over 46 countries. Prestige Cosmetics has a wide range of products such as Khol Eyeliners, Waterproof Eyeliners, Single Eyeshadows, Beauty Bar-Eye shadow Palettes, Brow Perfection, Classic Lipliners, Anti-Aging Lipsticks, Face and Eye Primer Illuminating Bronzing Powders, Mineral Powders, Baked Mineral Blush Lasting Moisture Lip-glosses.

Even though the brand is well known abroad, it’s a new brand in the Nigerian Market as Taries World received the franchise over a year ago.

According to the CEO of Taries World, Mrs Tara Adesemowo, she delayed the launching in order to buy time and screen people’s comments. “After much use and testimonies from Professionals and Non Professional Makeup Users of Prestige Cosmetics in Nigeria, we are set to officially launch the brand to create awareness to its potential customers and expand its market share”, she said.

The official launch takes place on Sunday November 24, 2013 at Whitehouse 31, Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. Orange Carpet 2pm-3pm, Symposium 3pm-4pm, Launching / Discounted Product Shopping 4pm-7pm. (Please note that the symposium at 3pm is strictly by invitation but the event is open to all for the launch and shopping from 4pm).

The launching has promised to be a much talked about event as it will witness the attendance of the crème de la crème in the beauty, entertainment and lifestyle industry. The Celebrity Host and Spokes Model of the day is Beverly Osu, one of the Nigerian Contestants for the last Bigbrother Africa reality show.

The Co-hosts are Mercy Aigbe (Actor, Yoruba Genre), and Adekunbi Fashakin (My Humble Self). It will be anchored by Radio Presenters, Bimbo Fagade and Wyse.

Please come with your wallets to lend some support to Taries for all her hard work as there would be distributor packages for those in attendance. I look forward to meeting you there. Congratulations once again 'Tara
