Sequel to my last post, here's how i got Damilola's Look. She is naturally beautiful & all i did was enhance her striking features - Her eyes, cheekbones, her brows & lips.

- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade in Chocolate

EYES

- Mac Eyeshadows in 'Expensive Pink , Coppering, Embark & Carbon'

- Ease Cosmetics Eyeshadows in Tangerine & Purple (for her crease)

- Maybelline Colossal Kajal in Black (for her lower lashline)

- Maybelline Colossal Mascara in Black (to darken her natural lashes)

- Red Cherry Lashes in 99 (to give length & volume to her already long lashes)


LIPS

- Zaron Lip pencil in Red Vine ( to fill, line and reshapen her lipline)


- Zaron Lipstick in Blunt 

- Zaron Lipstick in Barefaced (applied in the centre of her lips)

- Mac Clear Lipglass (to add sheen to the lips)

Chin Chinny Chin Chin

Hey Pretties,

have i ever told you how i love being a makeup artist & how i love showing women how wonderful their features are?? And then when paid to do one of the things i enjoy doing,SHEER BLISS!

Chinny is one client i've come to love & respect. She found my contact over the internet 2years ago,went through this blog,called me and that was it. Chinny loves to look FAB when she has special events & she allows me go all out.

For this event, she wanted smokey eyes (she always wants smokey eyes *rolls eyes*) and her lips were a shocking pin that bounced off her beautiful creamy complexion.

How i achieved the look:

- I applied some Embryollise moisturizer, followed by some Oil mattifier (No 7) and a little silicon primer (FM)

- Then i went in with some liquid foundation (MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC44) to even out her complexion a little bit and then concealed her dark spots & undereyes with Milani's secret cover concealer in

- I set her face with MAC's MSF Natural Powder (in MEDIUM DEEP) & IMAN's Oil Blotting Powder in CLAY Medium

- For her cheeks,i warmed up her face with the Sleek Contour Powder in Medium & went over that with Sleek's Blush in PINK PARFAIT & PINK ICE

- For her brows, i used HOT's brow pencil in BROWN & went over that with a bit of Zaron's Brow Powder

- For her eyes, i used PRESTIGE's eye primer and went over that with Sugarpill's Purple eyeshadow (Poison Plum) and Carbon (matte black in the crease). On her browbone,i placed some of her face powder atop the concealer i used on her undereye. Then i finished up the look with Wet n Wild's Black Cream Eyeliner & Red Cherry's '600' lashes (available here)

- For her lips,i used HOT's lip pencil in OSOMOTE(a purple color) & went over that with a mix of HOT's high-shine lipstain in CLEOPATRA (a Hot Pink) and Jioney's Longlasting Lipgloss in LLG18 (available here)

And there you have it,something easy peasy to replicate

LOTD : Walking on the Dark Side

Hey Pretties,

Are you daring? Would you like to wear this look often? Don't know how to go about it? 

To further buttress the point of how black & pigmented the 'Mabrook' Eyeshadow i reviewed in my last post is,i decided to do this look for you.

I'm a firm believer in Smokey eyes blended beautifully & as much as i love the look,i've never tried it in Black before.I Love My Purple anyday anytime.

I chose this lipcolor as i had bought it for over a year & hadn't come close to trying it on anyone.Plus,i really haven't rocked dark eyes & dark lips before.

Pretty Makeover : Clean Beauty!

Ejiro happens to be a current student of mine & as part of the training i give,i teach DIY where i help you identify the strongest features of your face & show you how to make them look stunning.

Ejiro's idea of makeup (The Way She Came That Morning)

I believe a makeup artist/any woman in the beauty industry should be able to project her services just by the way she appears . I mean, you can't sell Spa beauty treatments to someone when you have awful & scarred skin & expect good business.

That aside,we began the class with a proper foundation & concealer routine. I Shared the importance of applying makeup on very clean skin as well as the effectiveness of Primers. You can judge by her picture below the difference doing so makes.

Then, i went ahead to show her how to bring out the eyes,lips & face without a Myriad of wild looking-colors. Most clients i've met believe the louder the colors, the more work you've done. I BEG TO DIFFER!!

LOTD : Keeping it Simple!

Hey Pretties,

If you're familiar with the way i wear makeup when i'm in the mood ;-), you'll know that i go all out . But this particular day, i had back-stage work, but i felt it necessary to look the part & decided to Keep it Simple!

Notice, i now rock thinner brows. It's a look i decided to try a few times as i have come across quite a number of brides who barely have brow hairs.

If it's a look you like to rock, you can do it too.

LOTD : Banner Head

Hey Pretties,

by now, i'm sure you are very familiar with the pictures of my humble self on the banner head of my blog page & were wondering how i achieved the looks, what products were used etc.

First, i would like to credit the amazing photographer, my dear friend & amiable colleague - Adenike of EWAR makeovers. That she has a good eye for pictures isn't an understatement as she has photographed so many ladies who today use these pictures as their facebook profile pictures.

So this fateful day,she asked that i come take some pictures. But the catch here was that i had to do my makeup myself unlike her other clients who had come for one beauty service or the other & trust me,i came armed with all my favorite products & brushes.

ROLLY's TRIAL

Hey Pretties,

last year i was opportuned (i use this word a lot because i believe everyday God gives to us presents an opportunity which we either take advantage of or destroy with our actions) to work on one of the most beautiful women i have ever met (dark-complexioned women, pls take note!!).

A mutual friend referred me to Rolly & after a bridal trial, the deal was sealed.

LOTD : All my Purple World!

Hey Pretties,

so, it was a bright and sunny day & as usual, i was inspired to create a look with an intent to look Gothic, but with a lot more color. This wasn't a look i accomplished with MAC's "All of My Purple Life" Lip glass, but what better name to call the Look since it was inspired by the Color Purple(No,not the Movie Either).
